WHEN IS GAMBLING A PROBLEM?
Addiction is a primary, chronic disease of brain reward, motivation, memory and related circuitry. When gambling goes from fun and harmless to an unhealthy addiction – help is needed. It does not matter how much you gamble, how frequently, or where – when gambling causes problems than it is the problem. A gambling addiction does not discriminate. A gambling problem can occur for anyone regardless of gender, age, race or financial status. Fortunately, when a gambling problem is detected, it is an addiction that can be successfully treated.
