Two Graded Stakes, NYRA Bets Pegasus Stakes Headline Monmouth Park’s Haskell Preview Day on June 13

A pair of Grade 3 races, and four stakes races overall, will headline the fifth edition of Monmouth Park’s Haskell Preview Day on Saturday, June 13 – with all four serving as a prelude to NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes Day on Saturday, July 18.
The $125,000 NYRA Bets Pegasus Stakes, a listed event, will serve as the local prep for the $1 million Grade 1 NYRA Bets Haskell Stakes, the highlight of the 50-day meet.
The Haskell Preview Day card features the Grade 3 Salvator Mile, the Grade 3 Eatontown Stakes and the listed Monmouth Stakes.
Monmouth Park’s 81st season gets underway on Saturday, May 9. Live racing runs through Sept. 13.
The Haskell Stakes Day undercard will also feature the $500,000 Grade 2 United Nations, the $500,000 Grade 2 Molly Pitcher, the $350,000 Grade 3 Monmouth Cup and the $300,000 Grade 3 WinStar Matchmaker Stakes.
Last year’s Haskell Stakes Day card produced an all-sources record handle of $21,999,963, marking the third straight year of a record handle. The crowd of 41,876 was the largest since 2015.
The 45th running of Pegasus Stakes, for 3-year-olds at a mile and a sixteenth, is the Shore track’s prep race for the nine-furlong Haskell. The top two finishers in the Pegasus Stakes receive a free entry fee and start fees for the Haskell Stakes.
The Monmouth Stakes, for 3-year-olds and up going a mile and an eighth on the turf, is a stepping stone for the United Nations, which is contested at a mile and three-eighths on the grass. The top two finishers in the Monmouth Stakes receive free entry and start fees to the United Nations.
The winner and runner-up in the 79th edition of the Salvator Mile, for 3-year-olds and up, receive free entry and start fees to the Monmouth Cup.
The Eatontown Stakes, at a mile and a sixteenth on the turf for fillies and mares, 3 and up, also offers of free entry and start fees for the top two finishers for the WinStar Matchmaker Stakes.
The 2026 Monmouth Park meet will feature 36 stakes races (nine graded) worth $5.85 million.
First race post time on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays is 12:50 p.m. Post time for Friday racing, which begins June 26, is 2 p.m.
Parking is free throughout the meet.
