Quest Rides Rail To Victory In Saturday Feature At Monmouth

Oceanport, N.J. – Gainesway Stable’s Quest sat behind the early pacesetters before shooting through an opening on the rail and digging in for a half-length score in the $41,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 10,314.

Trained by Christophe Clement, Quest returned $3.80, $2.60 and $2.60 as the 4-5 favorite in the field of seven fillies.Resilient One completed the $25.80 exacta and paid $5 and $5.80.It was another neck back to Truth in the Lies, who paid $7.60 to show.

“She’s a very talented filly,” said winning jockey Joe Bravo.“In Christophe Clement’s hands she’ll certainly learn to relax.I think she has a real bright future.”

Quest, who began her career in France, is a 4-year-old by Mr. Sidney from the Anabaa mare Treasure. She sports a record of 3-2-2 from 10 starts.Saturday’s win was her third in the United Stakes in five starts.
