Montedoro Captures First Contest in $300 NHC Qualifier

Monmouth Park held a $300 NHC qualifier on Saturday, September 18 and Anthony Montedoro of Ocean, NJ finished in the top spot.
Montedoro bested a field that included 136 entries. He turned his starting $150 bankroll into $2,971.90 by betting races from Monmouth Park, Belmont and Woodbine. Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $15 per race.
By finishing first, Montedoro takes home the first-place cash prize of $6,450. Along with second-place finisher Brian Fairlie, Montedoro earns a seat in the 2022 National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas.
