Monmouth Park will feature two of its more popular promotional events this weekend, with Heineken Cigar Luncheon taking place Saturday, July 9, and the Classic Car Show & Oldies Day set for Sunday, July 10.

The Heineken Cigar Luncheon will run from noon to 5 p.m. and will be held on the Patio Terrace Rooftop Pavilion on Saturday. The $150 tickets include five premium cigars, a deluxe luncheon buffet, an open bar, admission, a program and valet parking. There will also be door prizes and gift bags for attendees.

The feature race on the Saturday racing card is the $85,000 Jersey Girl Stakes for Jersey-bred fillies and mares 3 and up at a mile on the turf.

Sunday’s Classic Car Show & Oldies Day will feature Big Joe Henry broadcasting NJ 101.5 FM’s favorite oldies on the green from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, the Cameos, New Jersey’s favorite oldies group, will perform from noon to 3 p.m. on the grassy area behind the grandstand overhang.

Check-in for classic cars will take place from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Stevens Gate. Trophy presentation ceremonies will begin at 3:15 p.m.

The $85,000 Irish War Cry Handicap for New Jersey-breds 3 and up at a mile on the turf will headline the Sunday racing card.
