With the addition of the $3 late Pick 3 and $5 late Daily Double at a reduced takeout launched just last weekend, Monmouth Park announced today that it is also lowering the takeout to 15 percent across the entire card for all Pick 3 and Daily Double wagers beginning Saturday, May 16.

“The new wagers proved to be wildly popular on opening day,” said John F. Heims, General Manager at Monmouth Park.  “As always, we’re constantly seeking to make not just the on-track experience better, but wagering on our product better. This latest takeout reduction is another way to put more money back in the hands in the betting public.”

The minimum wager for Pick 3s will remain at 50 cents, with the exception of the last Pick 3, which will carry the $3 minimum. Daily Doubles will continue with a $1 minimum, with the final double set at a $5 minimum.

The previous takeout on Pick 3s was 25 percent while Daily Doubles were 19 percent. Pending final approval from the New Jersey Racing Commission, the new 15 percent takeout rates will remain in effect for the entire 2026 racing season, which runs through Sept. 13.
