Mike Dini-Trained Gold Trust Dashes To One-Length Victory In Friday’s Featured $50,000 Allowance
June 27, 2025

Gold Trust broke with alacrity out of the gate and was never headed, going on to a one-length victory after surviving a claim of four for drifting in deep stretch in Friday’s featured $50,000 allowance at Monmouth Park.
Owned and trained by Mike Dini, Gold Trust proved to be the speed of the speed from the rail in the five-furlong turf sprint.
The winning time over a grass course listed as firm was :56.85.
Making just his second start of the year, after finishing a close-up fifth in the same company on May 26, the 4-year-old gelded son of Handsome Mike recorded his third win in six tries over Monmouth Park’s grass course.
Ridden by Samy Camacho, Gold Trust beat the speedy Jungle Glow out of the gate and kept that one at bay through early fractions of :20.60 and :45.18
Jetarus, making his first start in 12 weeks, used a three-wide move coming out of the final turn to draw close to the leader. Gold Trust then drifted in mid-stretch, causing Jetaros to dive inside.
Stewards disallowed the claim of foul.
The New Jersey-bred Gold Trust, owned by Ballybrit Stable, posted his third career win in eight starts. All of his wins have come on the grass.
He returned $8.40 to win in the field of eight 3 year olds and up.
Jetaros, who wound up going off as the 7-5 favorite, held second. He was two lengths ahead of Jungle Glow in third.
Racing resumes at Monmouth Park on Saturday. First race post time is 12:50 p.m.
