Mid-Atlantic Pick 4 Lineup, With Two Races From Monmouth Park And Two From Colonial, Set For Monday, Aug. 8

The second of six consecutive Monday Mid-Atlantic Pick 4 wagers, comprised of two races each from Monmouth Park and Colonial Downs, will get underway Monday, Aug. 8, with the sixth race from Monmouth Park.

The new wager, which runs through Monday, Sept. 5, has a .50-cent base wager and a low 15 percent takeout.

Monmouth Park’s sixth race on Monday has a scheduled post of 4:17 p.m. and will be followed in the sequence by the seventh race from Colonial (scheduled post time 4:33 p.m.), the seventh race from Monmouth Park (scheduled post time 4:45 p.m.) and the eighth race from Colonial (scheduled post time 5:01 p.m.).

Monmouth Park’s sixth race is a $20,000 claimer at five furlongs on the turf and has a field of nine, including one alternate.

Colonial’s seventh race is an optional claimer at six furlongs on the dirt. The field of 10 includes Dr. Ann, who is seeking her third straight win and the 15th of her career, and the Steve Asmussen-trained Lady Ave, who has 13 wins and six seconds from 28 career starts.

Monmouth Park’s seventh race is an optional claimer for New Jersey-breds going six furlongs on the dirt. The field of seven includes Dr. Doyle, making his debut for trainer Claudio Gonzalez off the claim, and the Jamie Ness-trained Pianzi, who is coming off a win at Parx.

Colonial’s eighth race is a $25,000 claimer at a mile on the turf. A field of 11 has entered the wide-open affair.

The Monday Mid-Atlantic Pick 4 wager is a separate pool and will be listed on self-service machines as MIDATLANTP4.
