Monmouth Park’s $500 Handicapping Challenge on Saturday, August 2 saw Ken Seeman atop the leaderboard.

Seeman’s $3,140.10 bankroll was best of 286 total entries and landed him first prize of a Breeders’ Cup Betting Challenge seat and $17,430.

In total, Saturday’s contest awarded two BCBC seats, two seats to the National Horseplayers Championship and $44,405 cash.

Contest players could participate on-site at Monmouth or online using TVG/4NJBETS, Xpressbet and HPI. All players needed to wager a minimum of $50 on five Monmouth Park races. ALl Monmouth and Saratoga races were available for optional plays. Available wagering pools were win, place, show, exacta and daily double.

Monmouth Park’s next live-money handicapping contest is Saturday, August 23. That contest sports an $800 buy-in ($400 entry fee, $400 bankroll) and consists of races from Monmouth Park and Saratoga. Players may participate online through TVG/4NJBETS, Xpressbet, HPI or on-site at Monmouth Park. On-site players are eligible for a 25% cash prize bonus.

While all mandatory races in the August 23 contest are from Monmouth, the entire Saratoga card will be available for optional plays. Based on 200 entries, the prize pool will consist of four BCBC seats, three NHC seats and $25,000 cash.

In order to participate in the August 23 contest, all TVG/4NJBETS players must pre-register with Brian Skirka by Friday, August 22 at 3pm eastern. Skirka can be reached at bskirka@monmouthpark.com or 732-571-6595.

Xpressbet players can register with Skirka or directly through Xpressbet up until first post on Saturday, August 23. On-site players can only register day-of from 11am-2pm.
