Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival At Monmouth Park Concludes Monday
May 27, 2018
The Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival ends its three-day run on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, after proving once again to be a hit with racing fans and food enthusiasts alike. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. for the final day for the 45 food trucks on site.
Monmouth Park’s live card on Monday will feature 11 races, topped by a $51,250 allowance race for Jersey-breds and a $40,000 allowance for 3-year-olds and up scheduled for a mile and a sixteenth on the grass. First race post is 12:50 p.m.
The combination on Saturday of good weather, a stakes-filled card and the food trucks resulted in a crowd of 15,764 and a handle of $5,953,670 that was the highest for a non-Haskell Day card since July 5, 2015.
The June live racing schedule starts with cards on Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3. June 2 will feature a $2,000 Pick Your Prize Handicapping Challenge. June 3 will be a Family Fun Day, with free face painters, pony rides, clowns and a bounce house for children 12 and under.
