Monmouth Park held a $300 Last-Chance NHC qualifier on Saturday, February 24 and James Hall of West Chester, PA, finished in the top spot with a total of $2,502.50.

Hall bested a field that included 127 entries. He turned his starting $150 bankroll into the winning total by betting races from Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Tampa Bay.  Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $15 per race.

By finishing first, Hall takes home the first-place cash prize of $3,900 and is headed to Las Vegas for the National Horseplayers Championship next month.  Having already earned their two seats for the 2024 NHC, runner-up Joe Perry and third-place finisher Ken Seeman have earned a spot in the 2025 NHC.
