Filoso, Lam Headed Back to Vegas For 2021 NHC After Contest 1-2

Monmouth Park’s first simulcast season $300 NHC Qualifier was held on Saturday, December 5 and Lou Filoso of Ocean, NJ finished in the top spot.

Filoso bested a field that included 101 entries. He turned his starting $200 bankroll into $1,680.50 by betting races from Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Tampa Bay.  Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $20 per race.

By finishing first, Filoso takes home the first-place cash prize of $2,500.   Along with second-place finisher Phil Lam, Filoso earned a seat in the 2021 National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas.
