August 15, 2019

A full day of promotional events, headlined by Fan Appreciation Day, will complement Monmouth Park’s 13-race card on Saturday, one that features the 95th edition of the Grade 3 Monmouth Oaks.

Admission and parking will be free on Saturday as part of Fan Appreciation Day. Designated concession stands (excluding Max’s) will offer a food special of a hot dog and a drink (a soft drink or domestic beer) for $5.

The Live and Local Music Festival, presented by 107.1 FM “The Boss,” will provide the entertainment backdrop from noon to 5 p.m. on two stages featuring music from the Lake House Music Academy.

In addition, the Bourbon Picnic Pig Roast is on tap for Saturday as well, starting at noon in Picnic Area 7. A $50 ticket includes bourbon samples, a pig roast buffet and a reserved picnic area. Tickets may be purchased the day of the event.

Monmouth Park will also host the Bud Light Cornhole Tournament on the second floor of the Grandstand on Saturday starting at noon. All teams must be registered in advance online. No walk-up entries will be accepted.

First race post time on Saturday is 12:50 p.m.

Friday’s nine-race card, which starts at 1:15 p.m., will offer a Jersey Shore Pick 6 carryover of $208,965. The 20-cent jackpot wager begins with race four that day.

Following the races on Friday, Brian Kirk and the Jerks will provide the musical entertainment at the Blu Grotto.
