Live High Live Low Scores By 2 1/2 Lengths In Saturday Night’s Featured Allowance On Monmouth-At-Meadolwands Card
September 28, 2024
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Live High Live Low continued his solid 3-year-old season, sitting off dueling leaders before pouncing in the stretch for a 2½-length victory in Saturday night’s featured $42,000 allowance on the Monmouth-at-Meadowlands card.
Ridden by Samuel Marin, who had three winners on Friday night, and trained by George Weaver, Live High Live Low posted his fourth win in nine career starts, all this year.
The winning time for the mile over a turf course listed as firm was 1:35.29.
Live High Live Low, a 3-year-old Kentucky-bred son of Coal Front, sat in third behind dueling leaders Likebelivingnmagic and 1-2 favorite Massif through fractions of :23.87, :48.16 and 1:12 through three quarters. The speed duel took its toll on Massif, who faded to third. Late Call rallied from far back to get second, a half-length better than Massif.
Live High Live Low paid $9.20 to win as the second choice in the field of seven 3-year-olds and up.
Racing resumes on Friday, Oct. 4, with a six-race all-turf card at the Meadowlands.
First race post time is 7 p.m.
