East Rutherford, N.J. – Roberta McAllister & Kevin Cassidy’s R Jolley Dreamer took the lead right from the start and had just enough left to hold off the late charge of My Uncle Sam to capture the $37,500 allowance feature by a nose at the Meadowlands on Friday night.  The nearly $100 winner did his part in creating a pair of carryovers into Saturday night’s card with $6,392.12 to be added to the Pick 5 pool and $11,733.26 to a sole winner in the Jersey 6.

With Christian Santiago-Reyes aboard for the ride, R Jolley Dreamer covered the mile over firm turf in 1:35 3/5 and lit up the tote board paying $99.60, $46 and $15 across the board in the field of 10 New Jersey-breds.  My Uncle Sam completed the $1,012 exacta and paid $16.60 and $7.60.  Unruly Heir was another length and a half back in third, good for a $6.40 show mutuel.

Conditioned by Ben Perkins Jr., R Jolley Dreamer is a 5-year-old gelding by Sahara Heat from the Apollo mare Ms Powful.  She has won two of her seven starts.

Live racing continues at the all-turf Monmouth-at-Meadowlands meet on Saturday, Oct. 24 – first post 7 p.m.  The 2015 Big M Thoroughbred runs through Oct. 31.
