East Rutherford, N.J. – Henry Carroll’s Trish’s Wish got up in the shadow of the wire to post a neck victory in the $30,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at the Meadowlands on Saturday night.

With Jonathan Zayas aboard for the ride Trish’s Wish covered the five furlongs over “good” turf in 1:01 1/5 and paid $60.20, $27 and $11.40.  Mare on Fire closed with a rush to complete the $700.60 exacta.  Bustin Out, who had the lead at the top of the straight, was another head back in third, good for a $4.20 show mutuel.

A 5-year-old mare by Smoke Glacken from the Beau Genius mare Naught Naught, Trish’s Wish sports a lifetime record of 6-4-5 from 34 outings.

The all turf Meadowlands Thoroughbred meet continues on Monday, Oct. 12 for a special Columbus Day card.  Post time is 2:15.  The 2015 season runs through Oct. 31 with live racing on Fridays and Saturdays.
