Monster Racing Stables’ Scuba Sue battled early with odds-on favorite Bustin Out before putting away that rival and holding Let’s Parlay safe to capture the $40,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday afternoon by a length.

Conditioned by the meet’s leading trainer Jorge Navarro, Scuba Sue and jockey Nik Juarez covered the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:11 4/5 and paid $10.20, $5.20 and $3.  Let’s Parlay completed the $50.80 exacta and returned $5.20 and $2.80.  It was another length back to Bustin Out, who paid $2.40 to show.

A 3-year-old daughter of Smarty Jones from the Saint Ballado mare Flattered, Scuba Sue has won four of her seventeen starts.

Live racing continues on Saturday, Sept. 19 for the penultimate weekend of racing at Monmouth Park.  The 2015 season runs through Sunday, Sept. 27.  As always, the racetrack is open seven days a week for simulcasting from across the country and around the globe.
