OCEANPORT, N.J. – Darley Stable’s Dubai Dancer looked the part of a 1-2 favorite, drawing off to a 2 ½-length score in the $70,000 Witches Brew Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday.

Trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, Dubai Dancer covered the mile and 70 yards over the fast main track in 1:43 and returned $3, $2.10 and $2.10.  C C’s Pal rallied to complete the $8.20 exacta and paid $3 and $2.40.  It was another half-length back to pacesetter Bwana Babe, who paid $3.40 to show.

“She proved best today,” said winning rider Eddie Castro.  “She’s a really nice filly.  She did everything I asked and ran well to get the job done.”

The Witches Brew victory was the third in four starts for Dubai Dancer, a 3-year-old by A.P. Indy from the Mr. Prospector mare Dubai Belle.  Dubai Dancer is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Little Belle, who captured the 2008 Ashland (G1) and was runner-up in that year’s Kentucky Oaks.

Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Saturday, Nov. 6 – gates will open at 11:30 a.m., with first post shifting to 12:20 p.m.  On Friday and Saturday of this week, Monmouth Park will simulcast all the Breeders’ Cup action from Churchill Downs, culminating with the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic – the last start for champion Zenyatta.
