Oceanport, N.J. – David Jacobson’s Still Krz grabbed the lead right from the start before drawing off to a three-length score in the $40,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at Monmouth Park on Sunday afternoon.

Trained by the owner, Still Krz stepped the six furlongs over a fast main track in 1:11 1/5 and paid $4.80, $3.20 and $2.40 as the 7-5 choice in the field of six older horses.  Blue Y Gold rallied to complete the $28.80 exacta and paid $5.60 and $3.40.  Visionary Ruler, who pressed the leader until the top of the stretch, was another two lengths back in third, good for a $4 show mutuel.

With Paco Lopez in the irons on Sunday, Still Krz scored his fourth lifetime win form 14 outings.  The 4-year-old gelded son of Old Forester from the Bold Executive mare Krz Exec was bred in Ontario.

Live racing continues at Monmouth Park on Saturday, May 21.  Monmouth Park will beam-in all the simulcast action that day from Pimlico as Nyquist goes for the second leg in the Triple Crown – the Preakness Stakes.  Monmouth gates open at 10 a.m., first post 12:50 p.m.  First simulcast race from Pimlico is set for 10:30 a.m.
