Rockfest At The Track Musical Festival Slated for Sept. 22 At Monmouth Park

The 11th annual Rockfest at the Track Music Festival, featuring 20 bands and 12 hours of non-stop music, will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, at Monmouth Park.

Among the headliners at the event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., are Brian Kirk and the Jirks, the Moroccan Sheepherders, Matt O’Ree Band, Random Test, Woodfish and The Taylor Tote Band.

Pre-paid tickets are $20, with tickets purchased at the gate costing $25. Tickets for children 4 to 12 are $10 at the gate. Children 4 and under are free.

The concert will feature all of the amenities that Monmouth Park has to offer, including sports wagering at the Monmouth Park Sports Book by William Hill. Food concessions, day-long drink specials and vendors will be available throughout the event.

Parking is free, but tailgating is not permitted. Coolers are not allowed and there is no BYO option.

The event gate opens at 9 a.m.

The Rockfest at the Track Music Festival serves as a benefit for the local non-profit HABcore, which provides “stability, hope and dignity” for the homeless. The organization’s web site is HABcore.org.

Participating sponsors for the concert are ShorePoint Distributors, Colts Neck Stillhouse, Paulson Brothers Construction Co., Endeavor Printing, See Hear Tech, QuinnEssentials, Sakoutis Brothers Disposal and Interstate Electronics, Inc.

If weather forces cancellation of the event, patrons will be notified and a refund will be issued five days after the concert.
