Cook Serves Up Contest Win, Earns Second NHC Seat

Monmouth Park’s $250 NHC Qualifier was held Saturday, October 13 and the winner was Terrence Cook of Towson, MD.

Cook bested a field that included 155 entries. He turned his starting $150 bankroll into $2,086.35 by betting races from Woodbine, Belmont and Keeneland.Contest players could only bet win, place and/or show and needed to bet a minimum of $15 per race.

By finishing first, Cook takes home the first-place cash prize of $4,500.  In addition, he takes home his second seat to the 2019 National Horseplayers Championship.  Second-place finisher Larry Hall is also headed to the NHC.

Monmouth Park’s next handicapping contest is coming up on Saturday, December 1.  It will be a $250 NHC qualifier using races from Gulfstream, Aqueduct and Tampa Bay.
