Monmouth Park Racetrack, established in 1946 along the Jersey Shore in Oceanport, is one of New Jersey’s most historic and recognizable landmarks.  Monmouth Park plays host to world-class Thoroughbred racing May through September, and is the summer home to 1,600 horses and more than 2,000 employees. 
The signature event of Monmouth’s racing season is the $1 million Haskell Invitational, which annually attracts racing’s top equine athletes, including Triple Crown Winner American Pharoah in 2015.

Position Summary: 
Under the direction of the Vice President, Food and Beverage, this position is responsible for developing prospects for Group Sales at Monmouth Park Racetrack. This position is also responsible for the booking process ensuring that all administrative and operational details associated with a group booking are completed. The position also directs the work of several part time seasonal employees who assist with the clerical procedures associated with Monmouth Park group sales. In addition to all coordination with catering.


Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities of the position:
• Solicit 900-1000 groups (65,000 people) per season through direct mail, e-mail and phone.
• Lay out and supervision of all Group Sales marketing materials.
• Liaison with the caterer. Approve of all catering orders.
• Disseminate all group contracts, confirmation letters, billing, admission tickets and payments for each group. Responsible for all group related deposits.
• Order, print and distribute all group admission tickets.
• Supervise office staff.
• Responsible for all activities related to special events (Haskell Day VIP reservations, parterre/luxury boxes lounge parties, VIP luncheons, etc.).
• Responsible for all parterre/luxury boxes reservations, whether VIP, daily or seasonal.
• Responsible for issuing all parterre credentials.
• Collects and manages season long horseman box rentals.
• Assist with Special projects (i.e. Interior Design, Parties, Community Donation Letters).
• Office environment; during live racing and special events some outdoor presence is required.
• During the racing season (May - September) weekend and holiday’s are required.

• Must have minimum five year’s experience in Group Sales.
