Race Summary

Jockey Jose Santos won the first of his two Haskells when Kissin Kris rallied from next to last to draw away from his competitors and take the Haskell by two and a quarter lengths. Trained by David Bell, Kissin Kris was coming off a second place finish in the Belmont Stakes to Colonial Affair. Storm Tower and jockey Joe Bravo, set the pace and were a clear cut second, eight lengths ahead of Dry Bean. Future Eclipse winning sprinter Cherokee Run finished fourth in the race as the 4-5 favorite.
