On the second-largest racing day for Monmouth Park, Joe Verniero went home as the overall winner in the $200 Monmouth/Woodbine Handicapping Contest. Top prize included a berth in the 2015 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas as well as a paid entry fee for the 2014 Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge at Santa Anita. Finishing in second place, Louis Filoso also took home a berth to the 2015 NHC and will be joining Verniero in Vegas come January.

Players wagered on competitive races from both Monmouth Park and Woodbine Racecourse, which hosted the annual Queen's Plate Stakes for Canadian-bred 3-year-olds. Players were required to wager on a total of 10 races, five from Monmouth and five from Woodbine at a minimum of $10 per race; Win, Place, and Show wagering only.
