Trainer Tony Dutrow will send out Classy Zip in Sunday’s $60,000 Fort Monmouth Stakes for fillies and mares three and up at 5 ½  furlongs on the turf and he thinks she’s poised for a top effort.

“She’s a hard charger and she’s run very well for us all year while racing against some nice fillies,” said Dutrow. “Joe Bravo is going to ride her and I think she’ll be a handful on Sunday.”

The four-year-old daughter of City Zip has only finished out of the money once in her last 12 starts and has won five of 12 career starts. She’s been in Dutrow’s barn for only her last three starts but has performed well in stakes company and has hit the board in that trio of races on the grass.

Bravo will be partnered with the David Ross homebred for the first time.
