racing in the books, the races for top honors at Monmouth Park
have Elvis Trujillo atop the jockey’s race, Juan Serey leading the trainer’s
ranks and Patricia Generazio ahead of all owners.
Trujillo, top jockey here in 2009 and 2011,
has 24 wins this meet, seven more than the 2010 leading jockey Paco Lopez. Joe Bravo, the 13-time leading Monmouth Park rider, is third with 14 trips to
the winner’s circle.
In the trainer’s race, Juan Serey,
who was leading conditioner here from 1995 through 1999, has six victories this
season, one more than the sextet of Eddie Plesa Jr., Todd Pletcher, Bruce
Alexander, Derek Ryan, Wesley Ward and Christophe Clement.
Over in the owner’s race, Patricia
Generazio has five wins, two more than Darley Stud. Numerous outfits are tied in third with two
