Lam Wins First SSC Qualifier of 2015

Phil Lam of Fresh Meadows, NY came out on top in the first Simulcast Series Challenge Qualifier of 2015.

Lam bested 192 other entries to take home the first prize of $9,650 and qualified - along with the rest of the Top 20 - for the SSC Invitational on Saturday, April 25.  The Top 2 finishers of that contest will receive a berth in the 2016 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas.

Saturday's contest used races from Gulfstream, Tampa Bay Downs and Fair Grounds.  Players bet a minium of 10 races and a minimum of $10 per race in the win, place and/or show pools only.  Lam turned his $100 starting bankroll into $1,105 to take home top prize.

Here's the Top 20 finishers from Saturday's contest.  These players will advance to the April 25 Invitational.
