Pick 4, Pick 5, Pick 6 Carryovers At Big M Saturday

East Rutherford, N.J. – With a string of high-priced winners on the opening day card of Thoroughbred racing at the Meadowlands, carryovers in the Pick 4, Pick 5 and Pick 6 will await handicappers on Saturday’s live card. 

            The Place Pick 6 requires a winning ticket to select the first or second-place finisher in every race on the card.  On Friday, a winning combination would have included: 

                        Race 1:           Raging Lion $6, $3.60; Battle Call $29.40 

                        Race 2:           Porvoo $9.60, $5.60; Celtic Blessing $11.80 

                        Race 3:           E. J. Little Boy $16.40, $6.80; USMC Semper Fi $4.20 

                        Race 4:           Car Thief $6, $3.80; Fufty Too $7.80 

                        Race 5:           Northwood Bully $101.60, $38.40; Alke John $6 

                        Race 6:           Neva Masquerade $74.80, $22.20; No Attraction $5.80 

            On Friday, four of six winners was worth $6.90 with a carryover of $1,040.11 into Saturday’s Pick 6. 

            The Pick 5, which comprises races two through six, paid $14.50 on three of five winners.  The carryover into Saturday’s Pick 5 is $2,222.60. 

            The Pick 4, races three through six, paid $190.70 for three of four, creating a $6,295.02 carryover. 

            All three bets are a 50 cent base wager with a takeout rate of just 15%. 

            Saturday’s Big M card gets underway at 2:15 p.m., with gates opening at 11 a.m.  All-turf Thoroughbred racing is offered on Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 3.
